Mr. Bwalya says this is especially information relating to public resources and management of both state and public institutions.

In an interview with QTV News, Mr. Bwalya who is also PF Deputy Spokesperson says as a media advocate, his values and what he stands for has not therefore changed.

Mr. Bwalya, however, states that the PF agrees with government that had the referendum on the expanded Bill of Rights succeeded, access to government information would have been easier.

He says this is because the expanded Bill of Rights in its current form does encompass all provisions that guarantee citizens to have access to such information.

Mr. Bwalya states that in his view, it would thus be a duplication of what is contained in the expanded Bill of Rights for Parliament to enact another law on access to information.
