Lungu urged to unite Zambians in March Parley address

President Edgar Lungu has been urged to use his address to parliament next month to share with the nation mechanisms his administration is putting in place reunite Zambians.

The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) is also calling on the Head of State to tell the nation through the House what his plans are to bring about healing in the political arena following last year’s divisive elections.

YALI Governance Advisor Isaac Mwanza notes that the President’s planned address to Parliament is also a golden opportunity for him to tell the nation his intentions on Constitutional reforms.

Mr. Mwanza says the Head of State should also inform the nation the way forward on the referendum in view of how stakeholders have reacted to his recent statement on the holding of a standalone referendum.

Mr Mwanza adds that YALI also wants the president to inform the young people how many jobs have been created from the 500, 000 jobs he promised.
