Government has been challenged to tell the nation why it wants to keep the Zambia’s Constitution review process a secretive undertaking.

Electoral Expert MacDonald Chipenzi has questioned why government has set up a Technical Committee at the Ministry of Justice to receive submissions ahead of the constitution review.
Mr. Chipenzi has accused government of allegedly trying to ambush the Zambians by using such a clandestine approach in reviewing the Constitution.
He has told QTV News that it is also possible that government already has preconceived articles it wants to include in the Constitution.
Mr. Chipenzi states that this could also explain why government has chosen the Parliamentary route to reviewing the constitution.
