Former Transport and Communications Minister William Harrington says it is unfair for the church to attack opposition political party leaders who have refused to acknowledge President Edgar Lungu as president.

Mr. Harrington says the Church should instead engage the political leaders and finding out why they have decided not to accept President Lungu as president.

He states that it is important that the church exhibits a sober mind when trying to bring together politicians with divergent views.

Mr Harrington says there is need to first of all engage the leaders who have failed to acknowledge President Lungu and find out how they can make peace with him.
