2018 internal election schedule is welcome- Longwe

The ruling Patriotic Front in Lusaka has welcomed the decision by the party’s Central Committee to schedule intraparty elections in 2018.

PF Lusaka Province Chairperson Horace Longwe says this is what party members in the province wanted that the ruling party follows the guidelines of its constitution.

Mr. Longwe states that party factionaries in the Province believe that having internal elections in 2018 will give the ruling party ample time to prepare.

In an interview with QTV News, Mr. Longwe says members that were earlier agitating for early intraparty must therefore not cause any further confusion in the party.

Mr. Longwe says the ruling PF in Lusaka province will not tolerate members bent on causing unnecessary confusion ahead of the convention in 2020.
