PF in Southern Province endorses Lungu

The ruling Patriotic Front in Southern Province has joined some PF members who have come out in the open to support the candidature of President Edgar Lungu as the sole candidate for the PF in 2021 general elections.

Provincial Chairman Charles Hamududu says the stance taken by President Lungu is an indication of a visionary leader.

Mr. Hamududu says this move will help those with presidential ambitions to focus their energies to party mobilization as they prepare themselves for 2026 general elections.

Mr. Hamududu has since called on all well meaning Zambians especially in southern province to rally behind president Lungu if the country is to attain economic development and economic growth as a country.

And PF Monze District Chairman Gilbert Mwila tells QTV News in a separate interview that this will restore peace and unity in the party.

Mr. Mwila is also of the view that President Lungu has done a great thing by announcing his intention to stand in 2021 now so that people will have enough time to consult the constitutional court and other relevant bodies on what the law says about this matter.
