Three Church Members died on the spot while five others are nursing serious injuries after blocks of the church fell on them in Mazabuka District yesterday.
Southern Province Police Commissioner Bonny Kapeso has confirmed the development to QTV News that the three bodies of the deceased are in Mazabuka General Hospital Mortuary.
Mr. Kapeso has identified the deceased as David Simabula 11, a boy of Messengers Compound, and two girls Noria Dube 13, and Tumelo Mukelebai 9 members of the Plan 2000 Apostolic Church in Mazabuka.
He says the other five injured girls are admitted to Mazabuka General Hospital.
Mr. Kapeso explains that the incident happened yesterday at about 16hrs during a church service.

Meanwhile, Police in Lusaka have arrested a man of Chaisa Compound identified as Danny Mumba, 34 for allegedly murdering his wife Esther Phiri at their matrimonial house in Chaisa yesterday.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo tells QTV News in a separate interview that this happened yesterday around 16hrs.
Ms Katongo says the weapon used to kill her is not yet known but that the body was found lying in a pool of blood and was half naked with multiple injuries in the head.
She says the body of the deceased is in UTH mortuary awaiting postmortem and that the accused is in police custody charged with murder.
