RTSA to resume mechanized motor vehicle fitness testing at Mimosa

The Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) will resume the use of the mechanized Motor Vehicle Fitness testing machine at MIMOSA by 1^st January, 2017.

Transport and Communication Minister Brian Mushimba has disclosed that the machine has now been completely modified to meet the Zambian standards.

Mr. Mushimba says RTSA officers have since made demonstrations on a few vehicles for purposes of assessing its modified testing parameters.

In an interview with QTV News, Mr. Mushimba says his Ministry will now work towards ensuring that the three remaining testing machines are also operational by the end of 2017.

Mr. Mushimba says government’s intention is to procure more of such vehicle testing machines in future.
