Changala concerned about increasing violation of rights

Civil rights activist Brebner Changala has expressed concern over the increasing violation of human rights in Zambia.

Mr. Changala says the unfortunate part is that these human rights violations are allegedly being perpetrated by the Police.

In an interview with QTV News, Mr. Changala says the country has reached a stage where the Police has taken over the country and is acting on behalf of the State.

Mr. Changala states that this also explains why the opposition is finding it difficult to have any political space.

He has since appealed to the Human Rights Commission (HRC) to stop the what he has described as the escalation of human rights violations in the country.
