Sinkamba calls on Judge Chitabo not to halt UPND case

Green Party president Peter Sinkamba has called on High Court Judge Mwila Chitabo to rescind his decision to indefinitely adjourn the UPND presidential petition case over last Thursday’s riotous behavior by UPND cadres.

Mr Sinkamba says Judge Chitabo should not be emotional by indefinitely adjourning the matter.

He is advising judges to detach their emotional reactions from their work by regulate their emotions.

And Mr. Sinkamba has strongly condemned the unruly and riotous behavior by UPND cadres at High Court grounds last week which resulted in damage to property.

He has however, blamed the unruly conduct of the cadres on the office of the Registrar of Societies for failing to move and deal firmly with parties that use unruly cadres to disturb peace.

Mr Sinkamba notes that the Registrar of Societies has tolerated the unruly behavior and political violence during and after the elections without taking any action against the parties involved.
