SFH distributes over 14, 000 HIV self testing kits
Society for Family Heath (SFH) has so far distributed fourteen thousand HIV self Testing kit in Lusaka.
SFH Lusaka Province Program for HIV self Testing, Nellia Phiri says the organization is happy with the response it is receiving from the members of the public who wants to test themselves.
She says since the HIV self-testing project was launched, no harm has been recorded.
Ms. Phiri is optimistic that the country will meet the 90/90/90 target through the measures the organization is doing in supplementing government’s effort in ensuring that the 90/90/90 HIV target is met by 2020.
She says the HIV self testing kit has increased the uptake of HIV testing among people not reached by other HIV testing services, including many who have never taken a test.
