Govt urged to review allocations of CDF

Government has been called upon to consider revising how to apportion allocations of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) taking into consideration the different needs of constituencies.

PF Kasama Central Member of Parliament Kelvin Sampa says government should realize that constituencies in the country are at different levels of development and have different needs.

Mr Sampa has wondered how for example a constituency in Lusaka urban can be allocated the same CDF amount as a rural constituency when they have different needs.

Mr. Sampa says going forward; CDF should be allocated based on the needs of a constituency as well as the level of development.
