Second placed Nkana are not feeling any pressure despite third placed Zesco United last minute push to oust them from the number two spot.

Nkana and Zesco have 67 and 60 points, with one and four games left to play respectively.

Whoever secures the number two spot at the end of the 2016 Faz Super League season will represent Zambia in the 2017 Caf Confederation Cup.

The number one spot has already been clinch by Zanaco, with three games to spare.

Nkana coach Aggrey Chiyangi, said he does not believe Zesco’s four-match backlog gives them any advantage.

The Kitwe side seek a last day win away, at Forest Rangers on December 3, in Ndola ultimately hoping it will be enough,to deny Zesco a chance of playing continental football in 2017.

“We are fully focused on winning, that’s why we are not talking about Zesco because they also have their own games and we also have Forest to think about and that’s our focus,” Chiyangi said.

Victory for Nkana against Forest will see them finish on 70 points while Zesco can garner 72 points should they win all their unplayed games.

Nkana will be holding their breath over the next fortnight as the 2015 champions play Nakambala Leopards on December 3 in Ndola and away on December 7 before wrapping up with a trip to Lumwana Radiants on December 10.
