New boys Lumwana Radiants face newly-crowned champions Zanaco on Wednesday seeking their second away points this season in Lusaka.

The Faz Super League first-timers have lost on four out of their last five visits to the Midlands with their 2-0 win over Lusaka Tigers on September 11 the only points collected in the area to date.

Lumwana do not also have pleasant memories of their first leg league encounter against Zanaco who beat them 4-1 at home on May 14.

Just how psychologically ready Lumwana are for Zanaco this time will be put to the test in midweek at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka.

Lumwana arrive in Lusaka on the back of a three-match unbeaten run in which they have garnered five out of a possible nine points.

Furthermore, Lumwana desperately need to maintain that run after they were sucked back into the relegation fight when Nchanga Rangers’ demotion for an attempted case of match fixing was overturned last week.

Lumwana are 14th on 38 points from 31 fixtures played and sandwiched by Nakambala Leopards on 35 points from 32 games and Green Eagles with 38 points from 33 matches.

Meanwhile, Zanaco face Lumwana four days after failing to complete a double after losing 1-0 to Zesco United in the 2016 Barclays Cup final in Lusaka and they will be looking to get some consolation Wednesday’s game.
