Restore budget credibility, govt urged

The government has been encouraged to walk the talk in restoring budget credibility with respect the implementation of the2017 national budget.

The Islamic Supreme Council of Zambia (ISCOZ) is urging government to ensure that as it implements this budget, those who will be in charge should ensure that they use the funds correctly.

ISCOZ President Suzyo Zimba says leaders should realize that they will not always hold the positions they are holding now but will one day be out and will be held accountable.

He says public resources should be respected citing that it will help to have God fearing people in charge so that they do not misuse or misapply the funds.

Mr. Zimba says those in charge of the funds should have the interest of the people of Zambia at heart and do things the right way.

He has further warned that Zambians will keep their eyes on them and will bring them to book if found doing things that are not right.
