PF confident it won Lusaka and Munali

The ruling PF says it is convinced that it won the Munali and Lusaka Central Parliamentary seats despite the recent rulings by the High Court on the petitions that were filed against its candidates.

PF National Chairperson Ngosa Simbyakula says this is why his party has appealed against the Court’s rulings.

Speaking during an interactive PF media forum, Dr. Simbyakula says his party has looked at the grounds for the nullifications coming out of the court and that the ruling PF is confident that in both cases, it has the grounds to be heard.

Meanwhile Dr. Simbyakula says the party lost the Mukuba ward to the opposition not because of the party’s unpopularity but because of the mismatch between the demands of the voter and a decision that was made by the local leadership.

He says the party is aware of the challenges as national leadership and has assured of continued renewal of structures in order to consolidate and redeem the party’s fortunes in areas such as Mukuba ward.

Dr. Simbyakula has urged party structures across the country to regroup and reorganize themselves in order for the party to deliver on its five year mandate.
