Twenty three injured in Nakonde accident

Twenty three (23) people sustained injuries in an accident involving two buses belonging to Jarazu and Juldan Bus Services in Nakonde District yesterday.

Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) Head of Public Relations Fredrick Mubanga has told QTV News that the twenty three injured passengers from both busses were rushed to Nakonde District Hospital.

He says according to the information from the hospital, only six out of the 23 injured passengers are remaining in the hospital while the rest have been discharged.

Mr. Mubanga says both buses were coming from Nakonde heading to the Copperbelt when the driver of the Juldan bus decided to overtake the Jarazu bus and in the process of returning to his lane upon noticing an oncoming truck hit into the Jarazu bus with his trailer causing the Juldan bus to overturn resulting in the injury of 23 passengers from the two buses.
