The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has dismissed reports of another pending fuel price increase.
In a statement, ERB Public Relations Manager Kwali Mfuni says Board has not made any decision to further adjust pump prices.
She has assured members of the public that the recently announced fuel pump prices have not been revised.
Ms Mfuni says as standard practice, the ERB continues to monitor International oil prices and performance of the Kwacha against the US dollar, the two key factors the Regulator considers whenever assessing fuel pricing.
She says there is, therefore no need to speculate that fuel prices are going up because the October prices announced by the Board will hold until the next assessment is done.
Ms Mfuni says the ERB encourages members of the public not to panic and ignore the unverified reports.
