Zambia eager to learn – Lungu

President Edgar Lungu says Zambia is eager to learn best practices from European countries in order to attain greater economic stability.

And President Lungu says government looks forward to increased collaboration with other countries in order to strengthen cooperation and forge stronger strategic partnership even as Zambia develops the Seventh National Development Plan.

The Head of State said this at State House this morning when he received credentials from Ambassadors accredited to Zambia from Germany, Japan, Vietnam, Gabon, Thailand and Denmark Ambassador.

President Lungu says Zambia has closely followed the austerity measures the Germany Government employed in managing the economic crisis experienced in the European Union, even in the midst of mounting external pressure of migration to the continent.

He says government values the technical and financial assistance that the Japanese Government continues to extend to the people of Zambia.

And President Lungu says it is his sincere hope that government will work closely with the Government of Vietnam to further strengthen political and economic exchanges especially in the field of agriculture, trade and culture.
