Ministry of Home Affairs Spokesperson Moses Suwali says the ministry is doing everything within its power to regulate the abuse of social media by people.
He says the Ministry of Home Affairs will ensure that anyone abusing the social media platform is brought to book with the help of the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) and the Zambia Police.

Mr. Suwali says people should not abuse social media by posting graphic pictures of road accident victims as this is injurious to the general public and also the affected families.
He says people should ensure that what they post on social media is morally upright.
Mr. Suwali says Zambia is a Christian nation which has respect for the dead and people should act accordingly.
Speaking in an interview with QFM, Mr. Suwali says the Ministry will soon embark on a sensitization programme to help people under the dangers of posting graphic pictures of accident victims on social media.
