United Progressive People (UPP) President Dr. Saviour Chishimba has called on government to call for a Constituent Assembly to relook at the current constitution.
And Dr. Chishimba has cautioned Zambians against trusting the PF with the process of amending the republican constitution.

He says if the country is to make amendments to the current constitution, there is need to first of all call for a constituent assembly to allow people make submissions on what they do not want in the supreme law of the land.
Dr Chishimba says Zambians should cautious with the indication by the Justice Minister that government will soon revisit the amended constitution.
He says PF is only wants to address clauses that seem to be working against them.
Dr. Chishimba says the just ended elections opened the eyes of the ruling party when it comes to the new clauses in the constitution, saying those are the clauses they want to focus on ahead of the 2021 elections.
He says the PF Government should consult widely before any changes to the constitution.
