Siavonga District Commissioner Lovemore Kanyama has warned individuals going round in the district spreading falsehoods that there will be a change of government next week.
Mr. Kanyama says it is worrying that some people in the district are deceiving others that there will be change of government on the pretext that President Edgar Lungu was not duly elected as president.
He says such behavior is tantamount to treason and that individuals spreading such information risk being arrested and charged accordingly.
Mr. Kanyama has since called on law enforcement agencies to thoroughly investigate individuals behind such activities and ensure that they are brought to book.
