Bishop David Masupa
The Independent Churches of Zambia (ICOZ) has commended President Edgar Lungu for creating the Ministry of Religious affairs and national guidance.
ICOZ Board Chairperson Bishop David Masupa says the creation of the ministry has reinforced Zambia’s declaration as a Christian nation.
He notes that President Lungu has done all he can to ensure that Zambia is truly a Christian nation.
And Bishop Masupa has welcomed First Lady Esther Lungu’s call for the church to pray for all political leaders in effort to soften their hearts.
Bishop David Masupa says it is indeed the obligation of the church to pray for all political leaders and parties in line with Zambia’s status as a Christian Nation.
He says praying for political leaders might turn them into God fearing people which would help reduce corruption levels in the country.
