The Small Scale Farmers Development Agency (SAFADA) has called for the restructuring of the Farmers Inputs Support Programme (FISP).
Director Boyd Moobwe says this should be done to allow transparency, responsibility and care for government resources.
Mr. Moobwe says though FISP has helped many farmers, it has not helped the vulnerable farmers in the Country as all that the programme has doing is assisting those who are able to buy farming inputs.
He suggests that the FISP funds thus should be diverted to train the poor resource farmers and give them inputs to start farming or improve their farming ability.
