Political analyst Dr. Alex Ng’oma says the failure by the opposition UPND to heal from August 11 elections may adversely affect THE PARTY’S performance in the 2021 general election.

Dr. Ng’oma says if not careful, the UPND risks performing worst like never before in the history of their participation in the elections.

He says whether the UPND acknowledges President Edgar Lungu as duly elected President or not, things will continue to be run normally, while it is the UPND who will be losing out.

Dr Ng’oma has since advised the opposition party to forget about their loss and focus on 2021 elections.

Meanwhile, Dr Ng’oma who is a political scientist has advised the ruling PF to follow what the constitution says on whether President Lungu deserves another full term starting from 2021.

He says the ruling party should refer to the current constitution and establish whether President Lungu qualifies to stand in the 2021 elections considering that he would have only served one full term by 2021 in addition to the term he finished for late President Michael Sata.
