ZNWL commends Lungu for appointing female DPP

the Zambia National Women’s Lobby (ZNWL) has commended President Edgar Lungu for appointing a female Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

ZNWL Executive Director Juliet Chibuta says the appointment Lillian Shawa Siyuni as the first female DPP is an indication that women are equal to the task.

Ms. Chibuta adds that the appointment of women to key positions is also an indication of the confidence the appointing authority has in women.

See adds that it is also encouraging to see that the president is complimenting the efforts of the Zambia National Women’s Lobby of advocating for more women in decision making positions.

Ms. Chibuta has since urged all women in the country holding higher positions to continue working as expected and represent women well.
