ACC probes 15 cases in latest audit report

The Anti Corruption Commission says it’s investigating fifteen cases from the latest Auditor General report.

ACC Public Relations Manager Timothy Moono has told a quarterly media briefing in Lusaka today that of these, nine cases were authorized for investigations, while five were referred to relevantmoono-acc institutions for administrative action.

Mr Moono says one case was recommended for corruption prevention exercise.

He states that investigations in the nine cases are ongoing and have reached an advanced stage.

Mr Moono explains that the Memorandum of Understanding between the ACC and the Auditor General’s office enabled the Commission to have access these cases even before the report was made public.
