UPND to shun next week‘s national prayers

The opposition UPND says it will not attend next week Tuesday’s national day of prayer at the venue where President Edgar Lungu will be.

kakomaUPND spokesperson Charles Kakoma says this is particularly at high party official level.

Mr. Kakoma says this means that if senior UPND members are not seen at the venue where President Lungu will be congregating for the prayers, they will be praying elsewhere with their pastors.

He has told Qfm News by telephone that this is especially that the UPND is not sure it will be invited by the PF government to attend the prayers.

Mr. Kakoma has referred to the earlier assumption that the ruling PF allegedly had that other political parties such as the UPND would contaminate such national prayers.
