President Edgar Lungu has been urged to set up a commission of Inquiry on Corruption to probe corruption and abuse of power in the country especially in top leadership.

Peoples’ Party President Mike Mulongoti says there is need for President Lungu to set up a commission of inquiry that will probe into matters including road projects which he said is the biggest challenge in fighting corruption.

Mr. Mulongoti says the commission of Inquiry once set up it will give the government the impetus to walk the talk in fighting corruption.

Mr. Mulongoti wonders why up to now the country does not have the Auditor’s General report on Road Development Agency (RDA).

He questions the Auditor General’s Office why they are sitting on the RDA report instead of releasing the report to the general populace.

Mr. Mulongoti has since demanded for the publishing of the RDA report so that the country is acquitted on how the contacts were given.

Mr. Mulongoti has put the Zambian government to task over laxity in fighting corruption at top government offices.
