Born Short Living Tall (BSLT) has urged parliament to have level headed debates and avoid putting party interests in the House.

BSLT Executive Director Pastor Ntalasha Chisha says his organization is expecting parliamentarians to be above bold and represent their people firmly and effectively.

Pastor Chisha says the MPs ought to remember that people stood in long queues just to usher them into office and thus the need for them to represent their people well in the House.

He says issues of boycotting parliamentarian proceedings should not even be crossing the minds of the MPs.

Pastor Chisha says what was experienced during the official opening of parliament by President Lungu was regrettable.

He says MPs must differentiate between party matters and national matters.
