Miles Sampa’s application to rejoin PF thrown-out

The ruling PF Central Committee has thrown out an application by UDF leader Miles Sampa to rejoin the PF.

This is was after tabling Mr. Sampa’s application in its yesterday Saturday meeting which President Edgar Lungu chaired.

PF Secretary General

Davies Mwila

PF Secretary General Davies Mwila has disclosed that in dismissing the application by Mr. Sampa the PF Central Committee relied on the provisions of the party constitution.

Mr. Mwila has told Qfm News in a statement that article 74 (16) says a person who resigns from the party shall not apply for re-admission within three years from the date of resignation.

He states that all former members that desire to rejoin the ruling PF are therefore expected to comply with this party constitutional provision.

And Mr. Mwila has also disclosed Kitwe Mayor Christopher Pikiti Kang’ombe is the ruling PF’s endorsed candidate for the position of president of the Local Government Association of Zambia (LGAZ).

He says the party expects all of its councilors to vote for Mr. Kang’ombe and give him the necessary support.

Mr. Mwila has reminded all PF councilors to be wary that Mr. Kang’ombe’s success will in fact be the ruling PF’s success.
