CCZ advised against rushing creation of new Ministries

Members of Parliament have been called upon not to rush in passing legislation for the creation of four more Ministries President Edgar Lungu has proposed.

The Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) is urging law makers to realize that creation of new Ministries such as the Ministry of Religious Affairs is not necessary and is not a priority.

Secretary General Suzanne Matale says there are so many issues that presently need the attention of the government.

Reverend Matale says poverty and high levels of unemployment require more attention than creation of more new Ministries.
