Security guard stoned to death in Lusaka’s Chinika

A security guard at Limbanda Company in Lusaka’s Chinika has been murdered by unknown people.

Elijah Lusambo is believed to have been attacked at his company’s premises where he had been residing between the night of 29th September and the early hours of yesterday.

Police Spokesperson Easter Katongo has disclosed that the body of deceased who is said to be between the ages of 56 and 57 years was discovered around 06:40hrs with multiple injuries.

Ms. Katongo says stones are believed to have been used in the murder.

She states that the body of deceased is lying in the UTH mortuary awaiting postmortem and that an investigation into the matter have been instituted.

And In Mkushi District of Central Province, police have arrested a man identified as Oberty Mwape aged 34 of Briven Farm of Mpelembe, Mkushi District for allegedly defiling a female juvenile aged six.

Ms. Katongo says the incident occurred yesterday the 30th of September around 13:00 hours in Mfumbaisha village.

She says the accused person defiled the victim from an abandoned house within the yard of the victim’s parents.

Ms. Katongo notes that the accused person is currently in police custody facing a charge of defilement and will appear in court soon.
