The Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) will soon resume the use of the motor vehicle fitness testing machine at Mimosa.
Ministry of Transport and Communication Assistant Director for Road Safety Lubinda Sakanga says the machine has been modified to suit the country’s traffic environment.
He however, states that the standards at which the machine will be testing vehicles will remain stiff.
Mr. Sakanga says this is one intervention government wants to use to enhance road safety in the country.
He says the reintroduction of the testing machine is expected to complement the work that RTSA is doing in road safety enforcement and road safety education.
