The love for money has compromised the church – Bishop Mambo

Bishop John Mambo says the church is partly to blame for divisions in the country after the August 11 elections.

He says this is because the church has been compromised for love of money and for the sole purpose of rubbing shoulders with the elite in society.

Bishop Mambo says the Church has neglected its role of speaking for the people for fear of losing favours from their preferred political leaders.

He says it is disappointing that the Church has not done enough in reuniting the people after the divisions exposed in the nation by last month’s elections.

Bishop Mambo says the Church should not take sides when it comes to national matters, but should come out in the open and speak for the people.
