National Movement for Progress (NMP) president Ngándu Magande says he believes Finance Minister Felix Mutati is equal to the task and that it will be very easy for him to correct the economic situation.
In an interview with Qfm News, Mr. Magande who is also former Finance Minister says this is especially if the economic situation and difficulties the country is facing are as they were in 2003 when Mr. Mutati worked under him as Deputy Finance Minister.

recalls that it was through his performance as Deputy Minister that he ended up being promoted to the position of Commerce Minister by former President Levy Mwanawasa for which as his mentor was proud of.
Mr. Magande notes that the fact that Mr. Mutati has not been in government for a while, he expects him to study the economic situation and establish what the difficulties are and what has caused such difficulties.
Mr. Magande says his hope is that Mr. Mutati is going to address the country’s entire financial problems.
