The National Road Fund Agency (NRFA) has collected in excess of one billion kwacha in toll fees from 2013 to date.

NRFA Spokesperson Alphonsius Hamachila has told QTV News that the agency has from January to August 2016 collected about K300 million from the two tolling points at Manyumbi and Kafulafuta.

He says the project which started in 2013 with heavy duty vehicles is proving to be a success as most motorists are paying the toll fees.

Mr. Hamachila says most of the money collected comes from points of entry.

And Mr. Hamachila has disclosed that the agency is on course in rolling out the project to all the ten provinces.

He says toll gates will be mounted in Chongwe along Great East Road, one between Monze and Choma in Southern Province, another one between Mumbwa and Mwembeshi and one on the Great North road in Chisamba district.
