Davies Chama
The ruling PF has hailed the decision by President Edgar Lungu to reassign party Secretary General Davies Chama to the position of Defense Minister.
PF Deputy Spokesperson Frank Bwalya says this reassignment shows how much trust President Lungu has in Mr. Chama.
Mr. Bwalya says the party’s general membership is thus happy for Mr. Chama and wishes him well this big achievement.
He has told QTV News that the ruling PF is confident that Mr. Chama will not fail President Lungu and the people of Zambia in his new position.
Mr. Bwalya states that the party’s general membership is also happy with the appointment of former Home Affairs Minister Davies Mwila to the position of party Secretary General.
He says Mr. Mwila has been wished well and received well at the party Secretariat.
Mr. Bwalya says the party has no doubt that Mr. Mwila who is a long standing member of the ruling PF will bring along the experience he has earned from being in government.
He says the general membership of the party will have to work with him as their Chief Executive Officer.
And Mr. Bwalya has encouraged party members that have not been appointed by President Lungu to any positions to realize that there are few positions to which such appointments can be made.
He says just like he has not been appointed to any position, party members should also know that not everyone can be appointed in spite of the work they have done for the party.
