United Progressive People’s party (UPP) President Saviour Chishimba says President Edgar Lungu’s success in office will largely depend on the cabinet that he forms to work with for the next five years.

Dr. Chishimba says all the preliminary policy pronouncements that President Lungu made during the inauguration ceremony will remain mere rhetoric if the next full cabinet will have the “getters rather than givers” attitude.

Dr. Chishimba says his party’s humble prayer is that the government will be legacy-oriented rather than being eaters of today at the expense of the children and those Zambians who are yet to be born.

He says the culture of turning government into cash cows must be firmly rooted out of government.

Dr. Chishimba says the people of Zambia, young and old alike have been yearning for the change which is about them adding that this is not too much to ask for.

He says delivery of development is not a favor to Zambians, but rather a right as they are the ones who pay high taxes every day.

Dr. Chishimba further states that UPP is poised and fully set to redefine opposition politics in the next five years and will remain watchful and speak to every issue of public concern.
