Angola commits to stronger ties with Zambia

Angolan President José Eduardo Dos Santos has expressed his Government’s willingness to continue consolidating the mutual ties that exist between Zambia and Angola.

In a message of congratulations to President Edgar Lungu President, President Dos Santos has said the Angolan Government is willing to continue enhancing the mutual ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and for the mutual benefit of the Southern African region.

Meanwhile, the Lunda Royal Establishment has commended President Lungu for his humility as demonstrated through his patience and respect for the Constitution of Zambia by allowing the election petition pass through the judicial process without interference.

In a message of congratulations to the President on his reelection as Sixth President of the Republic of Zambia, Mwata Ishindi Mankaki Kazanda Chanyika III has also extolled President Lungu for demonstrating love for the Zambian people as the nation awaited the conclusion of the election petition by both the Constitutional Court and Lusaka High Court.

Speaking on behalf of the Lunda people and the Lunda Chieftaincy in Zambezi, Kabompo and Chavuma Districts of Northwestern Province, Mwata Ishindi has prayed that the Almighty God may grant the President divine guidance to form an inclusive government.

Mwata Ishindi has expressed willingness of the Lunda Royal Establishment to work with President Lungu and support the implementation of all Government development projects and programmes at both district and provincial levels.

His Royal Highness has also prayed for the continued upholding of Zambia as a Christian Nation to help preserve the country’s peace and national unity which the Zambian people have cherished under the One Zambia One Nation motto.
