Chola wants a female Gender Minister

Advocacy against Child Abuse and Gender Based Violence has encouraged President-elect Edgar Lungu to consider appointing women to ministries dealing with GBV related cases.

Executive Director Bellion Chola says it is important that the ministry of Gender is given back to a woman who he says understand better GBV cases than men.

Mr. Chola is confident that a woman will give issues of GBV attention and champion programs aimed at curbing related cases in the country.

He notes that Gender Based Violence is one of the greatest challenges to achieving human development.
