ZULAWU wants workers salaries on time

The Zambia United Local Authorities Workers Union has expressed concern over the delay in the release of salaries for Council workers in the Country.

The Union is concerned that the promise by government to pay council workers on time has proved to be soothsaying.

Union President Misheck Nyambose has called on government to ensure that council workers receive their salaries on time.

Mr. Nyambose says his union finds it disappointing that council workers in Zambia do not seem to have a prescribed date on which to be paid.

He states that there is need for government to address this issue as soon as possible.

Mr. Nyambose has warned that failure to do so will affect the decentralization processing that is underway in the Country.
