UPND President Hakainde Hichilema says Zambians should now take over the fight for justice and protection of the constitution.

Mr Hichilema says he together with his running mate in last month’s elections Geoffrey Mwamba have done their part and it is now up to the Zambian people to fight for Justice for have done their level best and it is up to the people of Zambia to fight for justice.

Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka today, Mr. Hichilema says he has been denied his rights to be heard in the courts of law after gathering evidence to prove that his votes were stolen.

Mr. Hichilema alleged that the PF under President Lungu paid the three Constitutional court judges huge sums of money to dismiss the petition.

He says since he has been denied justice, it is incumbent upon the people of Zambia to fight and defend the constitution.

He adds that the UPND will not recognize President Lungu as winner of the August 11 presidential election, adding that he is in office illegally.

And Mr Hichilema has demanded the release of former Kafue Member of Parliament Obvious Mwaliteta and other UPND members who he says were arrested for trying to expose the scheme of the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to manipulate election results.

Speaking at the same event, UPND Vice President for Administration Geoffrey Mwamba dismissed reports that he is advocating for the party to go for a convention.

He says there is no need for the UPND to go to the convention because Mr. Hichilema is still remains party president.

And UPND Vice President for Politics Dr. Canicius Banda has encouraged Zambians to remain united and protect the country.

And MMD faction president Nevers Mumba has questioned President Edgar Lungu’s Christian values when he has paralyzed the country’s constitution.

Dr Mumba has also warned Pastors he says are surrounding President Lungu that they will go down with him.

He says never has Christianity been more abused than during President Lungu’s presidency.
