ECZ respects Nawakwi’s opinion that it be disbanded

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) says FDD President Edith Nawakwi is entitled to her opinion which it respects.

Reacting to Ms Nawakwi’s call for ECZ to be disbanded, ECZ Public Relations Manager Crispin Akufuna says people should not forget that August elections were not the first elections the commission conducted.

He says the Commission the remains the same electoral body which has presided over many other past elections.

Mr. Akufuna says this notwithstanding minor changes that have taken place at the Commission.
