Petitions for Chadiza & Luangeni seats withdrawn

Losing opposition UPND candidates for Chadiza and Luangeni constituencies have withdrawn their election petitions filed in the High Court and joined the Patriotic Front.

Samson Thole and Moses Moyo who contested the Chadiza and Luangeni Parliamentary seats respectively announced their decisions at a media briefing held in Lusaka this afternoon.

The duo are who are yet to formally withdraw their petitions in the High Court have since congratulated the newly elected PF Members of Parliament for Luangeni and Chadiza Charles Zulu and Salatiel Tembo respectively.

And PF chairperson for elections Jean Kapata who received them disclosed that more opposition UPND candidates in the just ended elections on the Copperbelt will withdrew their petitions.

Speaking at the same event re-elected Kabwata PF Member of Parliament Given Lubinda says the defections to the PF are an indication that some opposition political parties are sinking.
