The Constitutional Court has reserved ruling on an application by UPND lawyers for the court to be in custody of the ballot papers and other election material to tomorrow afternoon.
The election materials are currently in the custody of the Electoral Commission of Zambia.
And UPND lawyers in the presidential petition have today served petition documents to lawyers representing President Edgar Lungu.
This was after the petitioners’ lawyers failed to serve the summons on the lawyers representing President-elect and vice president-elect Edgar Lungu and Inonge Wina respectively since last week Friday after the petition was filed in.
The papers are expected to be served to President Lungu and Ms Wina through their lawyers from Eric Silwamba, Jalasi and Linyama Legal Practitioners.
