Govt encouraged to fully operationize the NPA

Prisons Care and Counseling Association (PRISCCA) has encouraged the government to fully operationalize the National Prosecution Authority in order to address the challenges faced by most people incarceration.

And the organization is calling on the government to decentralize the judicial justice system by having judges in all parts of the country in order to speed up hearing of court cases.

PRISCA Executive Director Godfrey Malembeka says following change from the Prisons Service to Correctional Service, there is need for the government to look for resources to actualize this plan of correcting inmates.

Dr. Malembeka says government should also consider recruiting more warders as the prisoner/warder ratio is something not worthy talking about.
