UPND to blame for Referendum flop – COTUZ

Confederation of Trade Unions in Zambia (COTUZ) President Joe Kamutumwa says the opposition UPND largely contributed to the failure of the national referendum on the bill of rights .

And Mr Kamutumwa says the UPND is enjoying the benefits that came with the amended constitution which they refused to support.

He says UPND has filed the petition in Constitution Court based on the amended Constitution which they never appreciated in the first place.

Mr. Kamutumwa states that it is unacceptable for any political party to politicize any national matter that is aimed at benefiting the majority Zambians.
