The Anti Voter Apathy Project (AVAP) says it is shocking that the referendum has failed despite a huge turnout of voters during the August 11th general election.
AVAP Executive Director Richwell Mulwani says stakeholders should take responsibility for the failure of the referendum.
In an interview with QFM, Mr. Mulwani notes the need to differentiate politics from matters of national interest.
He notes that stakeholders who campaigned against the YES’ vote in the referendum appear to have done well in sensitizing the general public.
