Preach peace, Lungu encouraged

The Independent Churches of Zambia (ICOZ) has encouraged President Elect Edgar Lungu to continue preaching peace in the country.

The church mother body is also pleased that President Lungu has called for peace just after the august eleven general elections.

ICOZ Board Chairperson Bishop David Masupa say peace should be guarded jealously as the nation cannot operate freely without peace.

He notes that even as the UPND has filled in its petition at the constitutional court, there is need for business in the country to run normally and peacefully.

Bishop Masupa has urged UPND supporters who were aggrieved with the outcome of the august eleven general elections to wait for the verdict of the constitutional court.

He states that the church expects every Zambian to remain peaceful and show love to each other despite having deferent political opinions.
